Viroqua Chamber offering sponsorships for Main Street flower baskets

VIROQUA, Wis. – One of the signs of summer in Viroqua is the arrival of the beautiful flower baskets that line the streets.  Each year businesses and private citizens in and around Viroqua come together to sponsor vibrant flower baskets that are hung throughout downtown.

The Viroqua Chamber is now accepting donations and sponsorships for the 2024 flower baskets.  For a contribution of $60 or more, individuals, organizations, and businesses can sponsor a downtown basket. Flower baskets can be sponsored with the name of a loved one, a business, or as a memorial.

A list of all the sponsors will be published, along with the names of honored loved ones.  With Main Street construction in the forecast for late summer, the flower baskets will stay up for as long as they can be safely maintained by the city.  In a year of construction, beautifying downtown Viroqua is more important than ever.

“Every year we hear from community members and visitors who love the downtown flower baskets,” states Larkin Breckel, Assistant Director at the Viroqua Chamber.  “We have even received letters from people across the Midwest who have driven through town and been struck by their beauty. Being community funded makes these flowers extra special, it allows us all to be a part of making Viroqua so welcoming.”
