Sen. Brad Pfaff recently received the Wisconsin Towns Association’s 2025-26 Friend of the Towns Award in recognition of his support for town government.

“Sen. Pfaff has been a strong and steady supporter of towns, always willing to listen and engage on the issues that matter most,” said Steve Dickinsen, Wisconsin Towns Association District 2 director. “His advocacy and accessibility have made him a valued partner for town officials.”
Throughout his tenure in the Legislature, Pfaff has supported efforts to secure funding for town roads, modernize town laws and address emerging challenges facing local governments. He has also remained actively engaged with towns across his district, helping local leaders navigate complex issues and connect with state resources.

Pfaff understands the vital role local governments play in delivering essential services and addressing local needs,” said Mike Koles, executive director of the Wisconsin Towns Association. “His commitment to working with town officials and supporting priorities that strengthen local governance has made a meaningful difference for towns in his district and for towns across the state.”
The Friend of the Towns Award recognizes lawmakers who demonstrate a commitment to local government and the principle that decisions are best made closest to the people they affect. Recipients are recognized for supporting local leadership, encouraging innovative solutions to public-sector challenges and strengthening democratic governance.
Pfaff’s recognition reflects his ongoing commitment to ensuring towns have the resources, tools and flexibility needed to meet the needs of their communities.
